The Naughty LinkedIn
So this one's right there walking that line of justifying it's existence. Unvarnished - essentially a ratings site for professionals - allows for uncensored commentary of people that you've worked with in the past, vendors, etc.
Sounds great in theory. But let's think about this for a minute. Because this site allows for uncensored, negative, rankings - I believe that's ALL this site will contain. It'll likely become a bashing-board for those terminated (bashing their bosses), scorned, burned by vendors, unpaid, you name it.
Now - professionals should always work hard and hold themselves to a high standard. Vendors should complete jobs, clients should pay their bills, workers should be productive at work. You get the point. But these are PEOPLE. And everyone has a different opinion on standards.
I think that's the big idea here is that opinions are a bit different than the facts. So it's basically a site where people will likely voice their negative opinions on people - perhaps using it as a public humiliation site. I just don't see the relevance or longevity in their business model.
