Changing content on well-indexed changes.
Many folks are afraid to make changes to well-indexed pages for fear that they'll change what Google or other search engines like about the page. So they don't make the changes - even though the content is outdated or perhaps inaccurate. This is a mistake.
While well-indexed pages are great - relevant pages will be even better. Ultimately, a more accurate page will return better popularity and linking and ultimately better SEO for the page over time.
You can always revert back to old pages - should you find that you "broke" something and the page is no longer well indexed. But ultimately, your goal is to continually improve upon your content, page relevance and overall SEO in tandem. So, waiting to changes pages just for the sake of indexing is not going to get you to your end goal.
